From the Listers

The Vershire Town Office is located at 6894 VT Route 113.  Normal office hours for the Listers are Thursdays, 1- 4pm or by appointment.  If you are experiencing cold or cold-like symptoms please stay home.  There are many things that can be taken care of over the phone or by email.

The town-wide reappraisal was completed in May of 2024 and the state will require us to do another full appraisal in 2030. 

The Listers plan to now turn to the task of updating the tax maps with the recorded surveys that have been added since 2018. This information will also be provided to VGIS/Parcel Viewer indicating updated property owners and acreage.                  

It is important to note that permits are required for new driveways, sub-divisions, and all buildings, both new, Including additions: porches, decks, dormers and for all outbuildings. The forms are available on the town website or can be picked up at the Town Office. 

Waste water permits are issued by the Agency or Natural Resources and are also required prior to building.  Property owners are responsible for recording those issued permits. 

Manufactured homes require a “Uniform Bill of Sale” noting size, serial number, when they are sold/removed or purchased and brought to a site. Property owners are responsible for recording those permits as well.

 

Should a property owner commence construction prior to the Development Officer issuing a permit, a late fee of $250.00 will be added to the standard application fee.
