The Vershire Town Office is located at 6894 VT Route 113. Normal office hours for the Listers are Thursdays, 1:00pm to 4:30pm. Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak in Vermont, however, the office is closed to everyday foot traffic for the forseeable future. The Listers are at work but will be operating only by phone, email and appointment.

Coming June 5th
“Change of Appraisal” notices reflecting revisions to Vershire property values will be mailed to the owner(s) of record (as of April 1st, 2020) on June 5th, 2020. Each year we look at properties with ongoing construction or permits, upgrades to the structures, or properties that have not been reviewed in recent years. Per Act 68, we are required to keep each property in town as close to market value as possible.
This year there will be no in person meetings due to Covid-19 restrictions.
We will be using “Zoom” for both information sessions and grievance hearings.
Call the Town Clerk at 802-685-2227 to schedule your appointment for an information session and/or a grievance hearing. You will need to provide your email so we can send you the link to your session or hearing.
We recommend “attending” an information session before grieving.
The session and hearing dates and how to schedule the required appointment will be included with the Change of Appraisal notice. There will also be a form provided in the notice that is required for a grievance hearing. Plan to send this form to us prior to your appointment. You may email your request to email@example.com or fax to 802-685-1113. If you wish to mail your grievance request form, keep in mind it may take up to 10 days, so please mail the form early. The grievance hearing appointment may be withdrawn by the property owner or their assigned agent should they feel that the information session satisfied their concerns.
Information Sessions: The Listers will hold private information sessions on Friday June 12th from 1:15 to 5:00pm
This is the time we encourage you to review your property card information with us and to ask questions. Correct information is the key to an equitable Grand List. Any property owner may inquire about their values.
We will be using “Zoom” for information sessions. If you do not have access to email or internet the Clerk will give you specific instructions for phone access.
Formal Grievance: Public grievance hearings will be on Friday June 19th from 1:15 to 5:00pm.
